Andrew Focks is an active commercial pilot and FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFI-I, IGI) based in West Michigan. A representative of the FAA Safety Team (FAAST), he lectures and presents workshops at various aviation conferences and for numerous organizations. Andrew’s fascination with aviation began at an early age. He received his first flight lesson on his 12th birthday and soloed at the age of 16. Andrew holds a doctorate in piano performance and served as a professor of piano performance, artist teacher, and president of multiple music teacher associations. He has performed internationally and his former students include grammy prize winners.
